Painting in progress
I don't like the background blue. Detracts too much from the leaves. This picture actually looks better than the actual painting in which the blue and green blend too much and is hard to see the contrast. I will think about the background some more.
As ever, a lovely design. I agree about the background. Do you suppose that sunny yellows, mixed with a bit of spring greens, might be what you are looking for? I bet that covering the blue might be a challenge. Of course, leaving some of the blue and adding the other colors might really convey a day in late spring. I know that you will find a solution that is elegant.
